Cookbook of the Year, 2021
Irish Food Writing Awards
This competition is to reward and share excellence in writing and content production on Irish food. As this is our first Book we are particularly proud of this achievement; although the Author credits list our own Stephen Buckley and Katy McGuinness of the Irish Independent, it represents a collaborative effort from a lot of people, and we congratulate & thank them all.


Travellers’ Choice
TripAdvisor
Tripadvisor ‘Travellers’ Choice’ awards recognise restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor. All of our Steakhouses are firm favourites with locals and visitors to Dublin but we’re particularly proud of the team in Crow Street for this achievement.

Restaurant Guru helps travellers and tourists to find the best dining experiences in new places. In 2019 their users’ reviews helped us to win a ‘Best in the City’ award.


'Best Customer Service'
Irish Pub Award
Our Steakhouses are regularly (and rightly!) lauded for the quality of the food and the standard of service; no small achievement in a City that loves its food! If there’s one thing it’s harder to get noticed for in this town, though, it’s how well you run a Pub. Our team in the Bull & Castle won this well-deserved (and hotly-contested!) award in 2019 for ‘Best Customer Service’.

World Steak Challenge
The Buckley Family has been perfecting the art and serving the finest quality beef in Dublin for over six generations. Even before we opened our first Steakhouse in Pembroke Street in 1987, we knew, fundamentally, how and where to source premium meat, and how it should be treated before it arrives on the table. It’s a level of knowing your product that can’t be learned in a conventional sense - you have to be born to it. This award recognises our Aberdeen Angus Fillet, which is absolutely exclusive to F.X. Buckley Steakhouses.

It’s great to be the best at home, but it’s very gratifying to know that you’re being noticed on a global stage! We’re not Number 1 (yet!) but when you consider the quantity and quality of the competition everywhere in the World, we’re happy to accept this accolade. We’re always working to improve our Steakhouses so we’ll keep climbing the ladder until we get to the top spot.
